SEO For Private Clinics And Health Practices
Be found and trusted by patients researching a treatment, a condition or a practitioner near them.
From £150 a month + VAT
Patients research private treatment carefully: the condition, the options, the practitioner's qualifications, reviews and cost. Health is a topic where Google applies its highest trust standard, and where advertising rules restrict what a clinic can say. Clinic SEO is about earning trust with search engines and patients at the same time, inside those rules.
Trust is the ranking factor that matters most here
Google's quality rater guidelines treat health as a 'Your Money or Your Life' topic. Content written or reviewed by named, qualified practitioners, with registration details and review dates, does far better than generic treatment copy. Treatment pages should explain who a treatment suits, what happens, recovery, risks and cost.
Patients also check practitioners. Many health titles are protected by law: for example, only people registered with the HCPC can call themselves a physiotherapist. Showing registration numbers lets patients verify them.
Rules that shape what you can publish
Clinics carrying out regulated activities in England register with the CQC, and providers with a rating must display it on their website under Regulation 20A. Medical claims in marketing must be backed by evidence under the ASA's rules, and prescription-only medicines, including anti-wrinkle injections, cannot be advertised to the public: the ASA's advice is to promote a consultation instead.
Those limits shape content strategy. Pages about the condition and the consultation can rank and convert without naming a prescription-only product.

SEO for Clinics: common questions
Can a clinic advertise Botox on its website?
No. The ASA treats botulinum toxin as a prescription-only medicine, which cannot be advertised to the public, including on a clinic's own website and social media. Promote a consultation for the concern instead.
Does our CQC rating need to be on our website?
In England, if you have a CQC rating and a website, yes. Regulation 20A requires it to be shown clearly with a link to your latest report.
Why do medical directories outrank us?
They have strong authority and many profiles. Your own site can still win your clinic's name, treatment searches in your area and detailed questions, especially with clinician-written content.
How much does SEO for a clinic cost?
Our SEO starts from £150 a month + VAT. Multi-site clinics and competitive treatments such as cosmetic surgery need more, which we quote after a review.
