Penalties & Recovery
Google Manual Action Removal
Get a human-issued Google penalty lifted.
A manual action means a person at Google reviewed your site and applied a penalty. Getting it lifted requires demonstrating genuine remediation to another human reviewer, which means the reconsideration request is a documentation exercise rather than an appeal.
You probably need this if
- Search Console shows a manual action notice
- A previous reconsideration request was rejected
- You inherited a site with an existing manual action
- Pages have been removed from the index entirely
What you get
- Manual action type analysis and full scope assessment
- Complete remediation of the specific violation cited
- Evidence pack documenting every action taken with dates
- Reconsideration request written to Google reviewer expectations
- Follow-up handling if the first request is rejected
How we approach it
-
Understand the specific violation
Manual actions name a specific issue such as unnatural links or thin content, and the remediation must address that exact violation.
-
Remediate thoroughly
Fix the whole problem rather than a visible sample, because reviewers check for partial compliance and reject it.
-
Document everything
Build a clear evidence record of what was wrong, what you did and when, since reviewers need to verify the work quickly.
-
Submit and follow through
Write plainly and factually, and if rejected, treat the outcome as information about what was missed rather than resubmitting the same case.
Manual Action Removal: common questions
How long does a reconsideration request take?
Typically one to four weeks for a response, though link-related actions often take longer because the review is more involved. You will receive a message in Search Console confirming whether the action has been revoked.
What if my reconsideration request is rejected?
A rejection means the reviewer judged remediation incomplete. Resubmitting the same case will fail again. The productive response is to widen the cleanup, since rejections usually indicate you addressed a subset of the problem rather than all of it.
Will my rankings return immediately after removal?
The penalty suppression lifts, but rankings return to where the site would otherwise sit, which may be below where you were before. If the violation was propping up rankings artificially, the honest expectation is a lower but sustainable position.
